About Me

Eleanor Thorne is the pseudonym of a classical-liberal atmospheric scientist in the eastern United States. A native of the Gulf Coast, she has experienced hurricanes and tornadoes for as long as she can remember.

She is a cat person, a baseball fan, and enjoys a nice walk on the beach.

As The Inheritors makes clear, she doesn’t like infotainment, pseudo-populism, or political extremism that much. She thinks real, serious (and really serious) problems call for real, serious solutions, and that such problems should not be opportunities for would-be social engineers to try to remake real people’s lives by force and deceit.

The Inheritors is her first novel.
